Project Manager (extendable 12 months contract)

An exciting new role with a large financial services company. Currently hiring a Project Manager who has experience in large infrastructure projects.

In this position, you will be required to work weekends during project periods and take evening calls from time to time

Responsibilities

  • Regional project management of office/data center set-up/fit-out/migrations
  • Regional project management of major branch lifecycle, technology standardisation and bank user deployments (Win10, MS Teams, VDI/Cloud, Modern Authentication, Video Conferencing, Workplace Modernisation, Storage/Midrange Upgrades)
  • Regional project management of risk/audit remediation and BCM events
  • Chair and facilitate project team meetings. Create project organization/governance structure and ensure project adhere to governance structure
  • Coordinate IT activities across internal teams and external vendors
  • Create and update project documentation i.e., project charter; project communication plan; project design document; project plan; risk, issue and action logs; project status report, StC report etc.
  • Track and monitor project, deliverables, actions, issues and risks. Create and update project mitigation and contingency plans
  • Prepare project financials ie., capex, opex, operational cost. Track project forecast/actuals cost, plan project resource allocations and keep project cost within the approved budget
  • Manage project stakeholders
  • Develop, monitor and control project schedule based on multiple inter-dependencies
  • Manage change requests and integrate impacts into project plan
  • Develop IT infrastructure migration schedule for data center and office relocation

Requirements:

  • Equivalent experience of at least 6+ years' managing projects in a complex matrix structured organization in financial institutions
  • Knowledge of office/data center IT infrastructure
  • Experience in providing IT infrastructure cost estimates for office/data center set-up/fit[1]out and data center migration projects
  • Excellent understanding of project financials, capex, opex and operational cos
  • PMI certification is a plus
  • ITIL certification is a plus
  • Able to work in a changing and fast paced environment
  • Able to problem solve complex issues and challenge status quo
  • Self-starter who can work effectively and manage remotely
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
