Position Overview:
The SAP Governance Manager plays a critical role in ensuring effective project and process governance within the SAP environment. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and cross-functional partners to oversee project implementations, timelines, and alignment of project blueprints with global processes. The SAP Governance Manager is responsible for maintaining high standards of project management, process alignment, and communication to ensure successful SAP projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Governance:
- Develop and enforce project governance frameworks, standards, and processes for SAP projects.
- Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines, milestones, and budget.
- Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and roadblocks that may impact project delivery.
- Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and senior management.
Process Alignment:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand global processes and requirements.
- Ensure that project blueprints, designs, and configurations align with established global processes and best practices.
- Lead discussions to resolve process conflicts and align project objectives with business goals.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with business units to gather requirements, understand needs, and translate them into actionable project plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, finance, operations, and other relevant departments.
- Facilitate effective communication between project teams and stakeholders, ensuring everyone is informed about project progress and changes.
Change Management:
- Develop change management strategies to ease transitions resulting from SAP projects.
- Provide guidance on change impacts, training needs, and communication plans.
- Foster user adoption by addressing concerns and ensuring a smooth transition to new processes.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the SAP environment.
- Regularly evaluate project management and governance processes to identify areas for improvement.
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of project managers and coordinators to ensure effective project execution.
- Provide guidance, feedback, and performance evaluations to team members.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience more than 5 years in SAP project management, process alignment, and governance.
- Strong understanding of SAP systems, modules, and integration points.
- Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, etc.) is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex project and process challenges.
- Change management expertise to facilitate smooth transitions and user adoption.
- Leadership skills to guide and mentor a team of project professionals.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in manufacturing industry is highly advantageous
