Our client is an overseas headquartered company in the property management industry. They are now seeking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join their Regional offices in Hong Kong. This person will be responsible for their Hong Kong and Macau operations, as well as assisting the Human Resources Director on regional alignments across their Asian and Chinese business units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting direct to the Human Resources Director, oversee full spectrum of Human Resources Function across the Asian offices
  • Manage compensation programs within Hong Kong and Macau offices, providing recommendations for enhancements or modifications where appropriate.
  • Manage and oversee monthly payroll
  • Research and recommend appropriate benefit programs in alignment with the company's demographics. Responsible for managing all benefit additions and changes, and vendor selection and management.
  • Prepare and manage budget in accordance to company guidelines, and establish and manage the processes surrounding hiring, retention, engagement, organizational structure, and termination of employees.
  • Identify and implement best practices to ensure legal and cultural compliance. Develop and communicate all the company's country specific policies.
  • Act as main point of contact for the Hong Kong and Macau operations for employment issues or disputes, and responsible for developing and managing people transaction processes - i.e. new hire paperwork, onboarding, expatriate matters, promotions, internal transfers etc.
  • Oversee talent acquisition, employee best practices for candidate identification and screening. Work closely with Human Resources Director to identify and analyse hiring needs. Identify and manage external recruitment vendors sand channels, and assist on regional searches where needed.
  • Manage the performance review cycle, and assess and recommend appropriate local training and development opportunities.
  • Manage all training records
  • Assist in the development, roll-out, and monitoring of Human Resources projects, and manage internal communication updates.
  • Keep up to date with market competitiveness and country-specific labour law and cultural issues.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder with major in Human Resources Management a must
  • 10+ years Generalist experience from MNCs, with business partnering experience from retail or property management industries highly preferred
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
  • Strong business sense, excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to multi-task and work in ambiguous environments.
  • Ability to work autonomously and independently
  • Proficiency in MS Office - particularly excel (Vlookup, pivot tables, and macro skills) a definite advantage
  • High command of English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
