AI Technical Lead- 4k- Contract- No visa sponsorship

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development of innovative features and architectural solutions within the insurtech space
• Define and enforce coding standards and engineering best practices
• Oversee the identification and resolution of complex technical issues, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability
• Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies, frameworks, and tools
• Manage and optimize the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including deployment, configuration, and production support
• Architect and guide the development of full-stack solutions across cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate to design and maintain automated testing frameworks (unit, integration, etc.)
• Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications and execution plans
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation (system design, APIs, processes)
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team

What we’re looking for

• 6–7+ years of software development experience, with a strong track record of delivering end-to-end projects to production
• At least 1 year of experience leading teams and mentoring engineers
• Strong experience in system design and architecture (scalable, resilient, enterprise-level systems)
• Hands-on experience building frontend and backend APIs
• Strong advocate of automated testing (unit, integration, etc.)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Bitbucket Pipelines)
• Familiarity with containerization and serverless technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud equivalents)
• Proficiency in modern tech stacks: Node.js, React, Next.js, TypeScript, Python, Microservices, and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Experience delivering GenAI applications, with knowledge of concepts such as prompt engineering, tokens, vector databases, and RAG
• Strong understanding of Git workflows and tools (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket)
• Experience working in Agile/Lean environments (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)

Nice to have

• Experience with Go (Golang)
• Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Exposure to MLOps / AIOps practices
