The Role
This is a high-impact role where you will act as a strategic partner to the business, delivering innovative, data-driven solutions that directly influence the bank’s strategy. You will be embedded in a cross-functional agile environment ("Tribes"), working closely with product owners, marketers, and technology teams to unlock the value of data.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive Business Value through Data: Design and deliver advanced analytics solutions to support business strategies, enhance operational effectiveness, and optimise resource allocation across the Deposits and FX portfolios.
• Embed a Data Culture: Partner with cross-functional Tribes to integrate data-driven insights into daily operations, fostering a culture of informed, evidence-based decision-making.
• Champion Best Practices: Uphold the highest standards in analytics methodologies and service delivery, ensuring the integrity of information management and the quality of analytical solutions provided to internal clients.
• Stakeholder Management: Build and nurture strong, trust-based relationships with stakeholders at all levels, from frontline teams to senior leadership, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
• Translate Strategy into Action: Demonstrate strong commercial acumen by translating high-level business objectives into actionable analytics goals that deliver measurable results.

Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will possess a blend of technical depth and commercial awareness:

• Domain Expertise: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in retail banking analytics, with deep, specialised knowledge of Deposits and/or FX products within the Hong Kong or comparable Asian markets.
• Technical & Analytical Prowess: Proven expertise in customer segmentation, portfolio analytics, and pricing analytics. Experience with advanced techniques such as data science, open-source data analysis, machine learning, or AI applications is highly desirable.
• Tool Proficiency: Strong command of analytics and visualisation tools, including Python, SQL/BigQuery, and Tableau. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or Google Cloud Platform) is a significant advantage.
• Communication & Influence: A strong ability to distill complex analytical findings into clear, simple, and actionable business recommendations. You must be comfortable presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders and diverse audiences.
• Educational Background: A university degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering). A postgraduate qualification (MSc/PhD) is preferred.
• Language: Cantonese a must.
