Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead Data Quality Oversight within our Asset Management business. The role will focus on strengthening data governance practices, ensuring accuracy and consistency of critical investment and reference data, and driving data quality initiatives across front, middle, and back-office functions. This position will play a pivotal role in supporting operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and business transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and oversee the data quality framework, including policies, standards, and controls for investment and reference data.
- Define and monitor key data quality metrics (completeness, accuracy, timeliness, consistency, validity) across multiple systems and processes.
- Identify data quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and partner with technology, operations, and business teams to design remediation strategies.
- Implement tools and processes for proactive data validation, reconciliation, and exception handling.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for data quality matters across internal stakeholders and external service providers.
- Partner with data owners, data stewards, and business teams to drive adoption of best practices in data governance and stewardship.
- Support regulatory and compliance requirements related to data accuracy, benchmark data, pricing data, and reporting standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed data quality into ongoing transformation programs, system migrations, and process redesign initiatives.
- Provide periodic reporting on data quality trends, risks, and remediation progress to senior stakeholders.

- Strong risk and control mindset with the ability to identify weaknesses and implement sustainable solutions.
- Detail-oriented, structured thinker with the ability to work across multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Confident communicator, comfortable working with senior stakeholders and external service providers.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 12–15 years’ experience in the Asset Management industry, with a focus on data management, data governance, or investment operations.
- Proven experience managing data quality frameworks across major asset classes, including equities, fixed income, and derivatives.
- Strong knowledge of reference data, benchmark/index data, pricing data, and market data management.
- Experience with data governance tools, data lineage, and data quality monitoring solutions.
- Familiarity with vendor platforms and industry utilities; experience with BlackRock Aladdin, Charles Rivers, Bloomberg or similar investment systems is an advantage.
