DevOps & Cloud Lead | Financial Services | $120k P/M | 12 month extendable contract

A leading financial institution is seeking an experienced DevOps & Cloud Lead to join its APAC IT team. This is a high-impact leadership role driving cloud strategy, DevOps transformation, and technology modernization across the region.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud & DevOps Strategy

• Define and execute APAC-wide cloud strategies aligned with global standards and local regulatory frameworks.
• Lead the end-to-end migration and deployment of applications to cloud environments, ensuring security and compliance.
• Design and implement DevSecOps toolchains to enhance the software development lifecycle, embedding security at every stage.

Project Execution & Infrastructure Delivery

• Manage cross-functional teams (engineers, architects, vendors) to deliver cloud infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
• Build and manage scalable, secure cloud architectures (compute, storage, networking).
• Provide operational support for new platforms and enable self-service capabilities for development teams.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Partner with regional and global tech teams, governance bodies, and application owners to ensure successful deployment and operations of cloud-native solutions.

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure all technology solutions comply with regulatory and industry standards.
• Drive cloud governance, security frameworks, and best practices across teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years in DevOps and cloud engineering, including 5+ years in a leadership role managing projects and teams.
• Deep expertise in cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, serverless), DevSecOps principles, and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, Terraform, Ansible, SonarQube, Jira).
• Proven ability to design and implement secure, enterprise-grade cloud and DevSecOps platforms.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
