FO Trading Application Support Engineer - Equities

• Location: Hong Kong, Central
• Duration: 12-Month Contract (Extendable)
• Engagement: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Front-Office Support: Act as the primary technical contact for the Electronic Equities desk; troubleshoot order behavior, execution issues, and trade flows in real-time.
• Environment Management: Maintain and optimize high-complexity Unix/Linux environments; perform daily start-of-day (SOD) checks and holiday readiness.
• Project Leadership: Drive major upcoming technical projects, managing the full lifecycle from technical design to operational delivery.
• Automation: Write and maintain scripts/programs to automate manual workflows and enhance platform monitoring.
• Incident Management: Lead incident triage, communication, and post-incident reviews to drive permanent fixes.

Required Qualifications

• 3–8 years of experience in Financial Services (Front-Office/Trading Floor experience is essential).
• Technical Proficiency: Deep working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and SQL.
• Scripting: Strong ability to write programs/scripts (Shell, Python, or similar); Dev experience is a significant plus.
• Project Track Record: Minimum 3 years of experience driving major technical projects within a production setting.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication; ability to remain calm in high-pressure environments. Mandarin/Cantonese is a plus.
• Education: University degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
