Global Procurement Manager – Food Ingredients

We are seeking a highly experienced Global Procurement Manager – Food Ingredients to lead the sourcing and procurement of key ingredients for our pet food manufacturing operations in Thailand, supplying international markets. The role will focus on building a reliable single-source strategy, ensuring cost competitiveness, supplier reliability, and compliance with global standards. Candidates from food or pet food industries with strong global procurement experience are highly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Procurement & Sourcing

• Lead procurement of key food ingredients for pet food manufacturing, with a focus on single-source supplier management.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with global business objectives and export requirements.
• Drive supplier negotiations to ensure competitive pricing, quality assurance, and reliable supply continuity.
• Evaluate risks associated with single-source supply and implement mitigation strategies.

Supplier Relationship Management

• Build and manage strong, long-term partnerships with suppliers to ensure alignment on cost, quality, and delivery performance.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews, including audits on quality, sustainability, and compliance.
• Collaborate with suppliers on innovation and value engineering to support product development and cost optimization.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure procurement practices comply with regulatory, quality, and ethical standards in both local and export markets.
• Lead initiatives to mitigate risks in global supply chain disruptions.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Partner with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to align ingredient sourcing with operational needs.
• Support cross-functional projects such as new product launches, reformulations, and supply chain optimization.
• Act as procurement subject matter expert in global business reviews and planning cycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Food Science, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• 8-10+ years’ procurement experience in food or pet food industries.
• Strong expertise in food ingredient sourcing, preferably with single-source supplier management.
• Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship skills.
• Excellent communication in Thai and English
