IT Solutions Project Manager (Financial Services / Insurance)

We are looking for an IT Project Management who has experience leading an IT solutions project. This is a 12-month direct client contract role with a potential to extend based on the individuals performance.

• Due to the urgency of this hire, we are currently only considering candidates who do not require visa sponsorship.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive project plans that outline scope, goals, deliverables, resources, budget, and timelines.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, team members, and senior management. Manage expectations and provide regular project updates.
• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee project budgets, ensuring financial resources are allocated appropriately and expenditures are tracked accurately.
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations. Conduct regular reviews and assessments to maintain high-quality outcomes.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and post-project evaluations. Provide detailed reports to management and project sponsors.
• Ensure projects are delivered timely and within the project management framework.
• Provide support in IT governance and reporting.

Experience and Requirements:

• At least 10 years of relevant experience in project management with at least 6 years in leading an IT solutions project
• Have managed projects from project initiation till closure successfully achieving the agreed outcome while balancing project constraints.
• Understands business needs and propose viable solutions.
• Assess the impact of changes and support their implementation.
• Have strong understanding of project risk management and ability to maintain balance among scope, resources, budget and timeline.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage stakeholders.
• Experience in Life insurance will be an advantage.
• PMP or equivalent certifications will be an advantage
• Experience in IT Governance will be an advantage
• Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
