Java Developer (Kafka) / 3 – 7 years of exp / Ibank Contract

A leading investment bank in Hong Kong is looking for an Application Developer for Data Service. It would be a 12 months extendable contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage new data service requests on the platform
• Support teams in securely accessing China onshore data
• Interpret and implement various data models across layers
• Build, test, and maintain Data Gateway infrastructure
• Create and maintain applications using Kafka, MongoDB
• Collaborate with business and technology clients
• Ensure compliance with data localization and protection rules
• Enhance data pipeline for efficient ingestion
• Provide technical solutions for cross-border data transfer
• Maintain robust data management frameworks

What We're Looking For:

• Strong Java & Kafka development skills
• Proficiency in scripting languages
• Experience with DB2, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL Server would be a plus
