Operation Lab Manager (Food testing)

The Operation Lab Manager will lead and manage laboratory operations with a strong foundation in Microbiology and Chemistry for food testing. The role is accountable for delivering high-quality laboratory services to internal and external customers, ensuring cost efficiency and operational excellence, and supporting the commercial team to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Service Excellence
- Oversee and manage all laboratory testing in Microbiology and Chemistry to ensure accuracy, reliability, and on-time delivery of results.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards, ISO/IEC 17025, GMP, HACCP, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain robust laboratory systems, SOPs, and quality controls to ensure high standards of testing services.
- Deliver daily, high-quality testing services to meet customer expectations and strengthen client trust.
Cost Management & Operational Efficiency
- Manage laboratory budgets, expenses, and resources effectively to achieve operational cost targets.
- Identify, lead, and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining service quality and compliance.
- Optimize workflow, equipment utilization, and resource allocation to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Commercial & Business Support
- Partner with the commercial team to provide scientific and technical support to clients and prospects.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop laboratory staff to achieve technical excellence and career growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in food laboratory operations, with strong expertise in Microbiology and Chemistry.
- Proven track record in lab management, quality systems, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Good command both Thai and English
