Senior Manager - Compliance (Web3 Crypto)

We are seeking a commercially minded Senior Manager, Compliance to join our fast-paced and innovative team in the Web3/crypto space. This role is ideal for someone who understands the importance of embedding compliance into the business without slowing down innovation. You will act as a key partner to business leaders, bringing a pragmatic approach to regulatory challenges while enabling growth and product development in a rapidly evolving industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary compliance advisor to business units, helping align regulatory requirements with commercial goals.
• Develop and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and frameworks that are practical, scalable, and adaptable to the unique needs of the crypto/Web3 industry.
• Oversee regulatory compliance for client onboarding processes, including KYC/AML, sanctions screening, and enhanced due diligence, ensuring alignment with global regulatory standards while maintaining a seamless user experience.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, legal, and operations teams to ensure new offerings are compliant by design.
• Monitor and interpret evolving global regulatory requirements, assessing their impact on business operations.
• Support the design and implementation of internal controls, risk assessments, and training programs.
• Lead compliance initiatives related to licensing, financial promotions, and other applicable areas.
• Act as a liaison with regulators, auditors, and other stakeholders where needed.
• Contribute to a culture of compliance that is business-friendly, efficient, and forward-thinking.

About You:

• 7+ years of compliance experience, ideally in fintech, crypto, or financial services.
• Proven ability to apply a commercial lens to compliance decision-making.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks related to digital assets, KYC/AML, and payments.
• Experience working in a high-growth or startup environment is preferred.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Practical, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset.
• Ability to translate complex regulatory issues into actionable, business-friendly advice.

Nice to Have:

• Experience interacting with regulators or managing regulatory relationships.
• Familiarity with global crypto regulatory developments.
• Legal or regulatory certifications (e.g., CAMS, CRCM, JD) are a plus.
