My client has recently expanded its operations through the acquisition of another company's ORSO book of work and is currently looking for a seasoned professional to lead their pension operations.
The Senior Pension Operations Manager to oversee Scheme Operations, managing a portfolio of 66 pension schemes, including major clients. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in pension operations, a solid understanding of regulatory frameworks, and a talent for stakeholder management.
This position will initially begin as a 6-month contract and convert to a permanent engagement upon strong performance
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for the Operations Team Lead and Senior Manager of Pension Member Operations.
- Manage all aspects of Scheme Operations, including member enrolment, contributions management, and fund allocation.
- Facilitate effective communication with employers, members, Trustees to ensure smooth operations.
- Oversee a team of approximately 30 staff members, both directly and indirectly, ensuring job allocation and performance management.
- Lead initiatives including working on projects, writing Business Requirement Documents (BRD), articulating requirements, and conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Ensure compliance with Scheme Rules and regulatory aspects of pension operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in pension operations, ideally with a focus on ORSO schemes.
- Proven track record in strong stakeholder and people management.
- In-depth understanding of pension administration processes and regulatory requirements.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
