We are partnering exclusively with a leading client in the retail entertainment industry to identify an experienced and versatile Senior IT Manager that will be overseeing the IT pillar across Malaysia, Singapore and the Greater China region. This role is based onsite in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and is a pivotal role for the organisation where you will oversee the the technical teams as well as the technical routemap for the region.


Key Responsibilities

  • Project Delivery: Oversee end-to-end execution of technology projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and business alignment.
  • Technology Operations: Drive system reliability, service availability, and cybersecurity across all enterprise platforms.
  • IT Cost & Asset Management: Manage IT budgets, optimize technology investments, and oversee the full asset lifecycle.
  • Innovation & Emerging Tech: Promote innovation within the IT team and explore new technologies to enhance business capabilities.
  • Technology Strategy: Define and implement the IT roadmap in support of organizational priorities and regional growth.
  • People Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IT professionals; build a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between IT, business units, and external partners, ensuring strong communication and alignment.
  • Regional Collaboration: Work closely with business and technology teams across Asia, requiring regular travel for project coordination and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in IT leadership or management roles.
  • Proven track record in delivering enterprise and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), cybersecurity, and enterprise architecture.
  • Familiar with microservices, API design, and data integration practices.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel within Asia for regional project delivery and collaboration.
